International Student Teaching in Ireland

Successful international programs are a result of a collaborative effort between UMD’s various colleges, their respective departments, and the Study Abroad office.

The International Student Teaching program provides the Education department the ability to fully manage program logistics. Our office assumes financial responsibility for operations, however, revenues and losses are the responsibility of your department. Students pay an application fee—plus a placement, advising and administrative cost is included in the program fee.

In the International Student Teaching Program, the Study Abroad office provides:

  • Program Leader Risk Management Training
  • Student’s Application through Confirmation (Includes checklist documents: Release & Waiver, Online Orientation, Registration Agreement, Health Information, Emergency Contact, Confirmation of Participation)
  • Advising coordinated with department
  • Marketing (web, digital & print)
  • Cooperative Program Budget
  • Proposal for Special Credit Registration (fee document)
  • Student Billing (funds to study abroad)
