Items to be completed/returned to CITS

January

Student Participation form(s):

Spring semester forms due by the end of first week in January

Drop Deadline:

January 9, 2018 - last day to drop an all-year course without a grade of W recorded on a student transcript. Any drop ater this date requires a petition (additional work).

Course Evaulations:

Teachers return fall semester 2017 evaluations to CITS before the end of the high school semester.

Grades:

Fall 2017 due three days after the end of high school semester; CITS teachers enter grades on MyU.

Course Syllabi:

Teachers email syllabi for spring semester courses to CITS b the end of the second week of the high school semester (NACEP requirement).

Billing/Payment:

All Year Billing is due January 21st; invoices mailed to high schools for payment

High schools notify CITS of any remaining fall registration issues

High schools return payment to UMD Financial Collections

February

Class Roster:

Teachers verify class rosters on MyU; notify CITS office of drops/adds.

Guidance Counselors also notify CITS when a student has dropped or added a course.

UMD Campus Visits:

Teachers request campus visits, library orientation; required for WRIT 1120.

Professional Development:

English/Writing Studies Teacher Professional Development workshop.

March

Spring Class Roster(s):

Teachers check class rosters on MyU prior to April 6, 2018.

Drop Deadline:

April 6, 2018 -- last day to drop a semester course without a grade of W recorded on student transcript. Any drop after this date requires a petition (additional work).

April

Billing/Payment:

Spring semester billing due April 15; invoices mailed to high schools for payment.

High schools notify CITS of any remaining spring registration issues.

High schools return payment to UMD Financial Collections.

New Teacher Applications:

Due April 15. High school principals write letter of recommendation for teacher.

May/June

MOA:

Signed memorandum of agreement due to CITS; copy of signed agreement returned to high school.

Student Participation Form(s):

Fall 2018 forms due – need before guidance counselors leave for the summer.

Course Evaluations:

Teachers return all-year and spring 2018 semester evaluations to CITS before end of semester.

Grades:

August

CITS Annual Workshop

Tuesday, August 14, 2018: CITS teacher orientation and professional development workshop. CITS high school teachers’ attendance required (NACEP accreditation).

Class Rosters:

Fall high school class rosters (deadline late August; after counselors return).

September

Teachers email syllabi for fall semester and all-year courses to CITS by the end of the second week of the semester (NACEP requirement).

November 17, 2017 -- last day to drop a fall semester course without a grade of W recorded on student transcript. Any drop after this date requires a petition (additional work).

CITS teachers/guidance counselors verify final rosters for fall semester.

December

Billing/Payment:

Fall semester billing due December 1; invoices mailed to high schools for payment.

High schools notify CITS of any remaining fall registration issues.

High schools return payment to UMD Financial Collections.
