Compleat Female Stage Beauty

UMD Theatre presents
UMD Theatre's Compleat Female Stage Beauty
By Jeffrey Hatcher

December 5 - 7 & 11 - 14, 2013 @ 7:30 pm
December 8, 2013 @ 2 pm

Directed by Kate Ufema
Mainstage Theatre - Marshall Performing Arts Center

“She was the first of her kind. He was the last of his.” It’s 1661, the moment in time when women assumed their rightful place on the Shakespearean stages of England. King Charles II decreed that male players were no longer permitted to perform women’s roles, and the torch was passed. Jeffrey Hatcher’s historically based script places us in the minds and hearts of the people, and shockingly illuminates a brutal, rocky road of change.

Adult language and subject matter. Not suggested for children under 17.

Adult $18 | UMD Faculty & Staff $15 | Senior $13 | Student $8 | UMD Student $6
BOGO night for ALL: Wed., 12/11/13. Buy 1 ticket and get 1 ticket FREE for everyone (of equal or lesser value.)
