Due to growing ridership at UMD, the Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) will provide additional bus service to the campus beginning Sunday, January 6, 2013. All current Route #13 buses will provide service to and from UMD during weekday evenings and on Sundays.
Presently, #13W buses bypass UMD and remain on Woodland Ave. between College St. and the Woodland neighborhood. Effective January 6, #13 buses departing downtown Duluth at 8:10 p.m., 9:10 p.m., and 10:10 p.m. will provide service to UMD with departure times from the campus to the Woodland neighborhood at 8:27 p.m., 9:27 p.m., and 10:27 p.m. Route #13 will add three weekday evening trips from UMD to downtown departing at 9:01 p.m., 10:01 p.m., and 11:01 p.m.
Route #13 will also begin serving the UMD campus on Sundays with departure times from UMD to downtown at 9:27 a.m., and running hourly until 7:27 p.m. and service to the Woodland neighborhood departing UMD hourly from 8:53 a.m. until 6:53 p.m.
In addition to Route #13, DTA bus service for the UMD campus continues to include Routes #6,11 12, and 18. Additional information and bus route schedules are available on the DTA website.
