The staff members in the Office for Students in Transition understand and recognize that parents and guardians play a significant role in helping their sons/daughters prepare for college life and in students' success throughout their time at UMD. The Parents & Family Program offers information and referrals to help parents support their UMD students.
UMD's Parents & Family Program is coordinated by Vince Repesh. For general information and questions, please click on the links below for more information about the parent/family component of the Office for Students in Transition programs:
The Parent Handbook is given out at Advisement & Registration sessions, but the content can be useful to parents of continuing students as well as new students. This web version is a handy reference that answers many common questions that parents of UMD students may have.
The 2013-2014 parent weekend is full of special events for parents and family and will be held Friday, October 18 - Sunday, October 20, 2013. More information to come in September!
