On President Trump and Electoral Politics

October 14, 2018

David Beard presents an examination of professional wrestling as a form of communication and as cultural phenomenon.

Associate Professor David Beard, Department of English, Linguistics, and Writing Studies (ELWS), will present on President Trump and Electoral Politics -- a "Wrestling Rhetoric" at the West Lakes Division of the American Association of Geographers (WLSAAG).

The WLDAAG 2018 Annual Meeting will be held November 1-3, 2018 at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse.  This project merges the social scientific research of Beard's collaborator, Professor of Geography John Heppen, with the tools of rhetoric.  It is the third essay to come from Beard and Heppen's collaboration, which has examined professional wrestling as a form of communication and as cultural phenomenon.
