Steps for Senior Citizen Registration

Verify Eligibility:

All Senior Citizens must go to One Stop Student Services prior to billing due dates in order to receive the tuition benefit.

Students must present proof of Minnesota residency and proof of age.

Forms of proof include:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Minnesota Driver’s License
  • Passport
  • Minnesota Tribal Identification Card
  • Minnesota State ID

Registration

Degree Seeking Students

Review the One Stop registration page.

Continuing Non-Degree Students

Register during Open Registration for the term through the first two weeks of the term without penalty.

New Non-Degree Students

Complete the Application & Registration form.

Classes not for credit

Classes not offered for academic credit have separate registration requirements and dates.

Open or closed classes

The online Section Status Reports can tell you if a course is open or closed. For more information, call One Stop Student Services at (218) 726-8000.

If the class is closed (i.e., full) you will need a permission number from the instructor or department offering the class. Some classes have restrictions on who is allowed to take the class.

Cancel/Add Classes

Follow the same procedure as degree seeking students.

Refunds

You can receive a 100 percent refund if you cancel a class during the first three weeks of the term. After the first three weeks of the term, no refunds are issued.
