2 Year English Two of the following courses: any 1xxx or 2xxx Engl course or Comm 1112 -- Public Speaking or Comm 1600 -- Argumentation and Debate: A Practical Approach
3 Year English SSP 1052 -- College Writing Strategies (determined by ACT score and advisement) is required and 2 courses from 1xxx-level English or Comm 1112 -- Pubic Speaking or Comm 1600 -- Argumentaion and Debate: A Practical Approach
4 Year English SSP 1052 --College Writing Strategies (determined by ACT score and advisement) and SSP 1054 -- Learning Strategies are required and two 1xxx level courses from English or Comm 1112 -- Public Speaking or Comm 1600 -- Arugmentation and Debate: A Practical Approach
Geometry Because UMD does not offer a course in Geometry, this requirement is not enforced. However, students are still required to fulfill the four-year HS Preparation Math requirement or Stat 1411 -- Introduction to Statistics or Stat 2411 -- Statistical Methods
