DULUTH, MN – Three UMD faculty are recipients of the Chancellor's Teaching, Research, and Service awards for 2014-2015. Each will give a special presentation on Thurs., April 30 at 2 pm in the Kirby Rafters on the University of Minnesota Duluth campus.
Stephen Castleberry, professor in the Department of Marketing and recipient of the 2014-2015 Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Teaching, will give a talk entitled "A Lifetime of Learning from Master Teachers."
Eugene Koshinski, associate professor in the Department of Music and recipient of the 2014-2015 Chancellor's Award for Distinguished Research/Creative Activity, will speak about “The 21st Century Artist.”
Julia Williams, associate professor in the Department of Education and the recipient of the 2014-2015 Chancellor's Award for Outstanding Public Service, will give a presentation entitled “Not Necessarily Intentional Service: Agency and Advocacy in not always welcome reform.”
A reception will immediately follow the presentations at approximately 3 pm. At that time, the following faculty will also be honored:
Ann Aiko Bergeron, professor, Department of Theatre, is the recipient of the 2014-2015 Albert Tezla Teacher/Scholar Award.
Rajiv Vaidyanathan, professor, Department of Marketing, is a recipient of the 2014-2015 Outstanding Graduate Faculty Advisor Award.
