DULUTH, MN – A variety of informative and fun activities will be part of the fifth annual Northland Community Wellness Day, from 10 am to 2 pm, Saturday, March 29, in UMD’s Romano Gym. Parking and admission are free.
The event, which promotes healthy families and communities through education and awareness, will include information about health & wellness, public safety, environmental awareness, financial literacy and more. There will also be free rock-climbing, the Zoo mobile (10 am-12 pm) and kids’ activities with UMD athletes and Champ.
A highlight of the day will be the free informational workshops by local presenters including cooking with Tom Hanson from the Duluth Grill. There will also be an opportunity to meet & greet Northland elected public officials.
“Northland Community Wellness Day is growing every year to meet the wellness interests of our community. There is something for everyone to experience at the event and inspiring ideas to take home and implement in day-to-day life”, said UMD Health Educator Dori Decker. “It’s fun, it’s informative, and it’s free, making it a great way to spend a few hours on March 29th.”
