KUMD to Feature Special Series on Women’s History Month: Kicks off with a show featuring actress Tina Fey

DULUTH, MN – KUMD 103.3 FM airs a special series celebrating Women's History Month, with daily segments honoring Minnesota's own leaders and trailblazers, March 3-31 every weekday morning at 7am and 11am.

Honorees include local women like Martha B. Alworth, Gladys Swanson, Anna Ringsred, and more. Each week’s upcoming honorees will be posted on the KUMD home page at www.kumd.org. All of the segments will be available on KUMD's Audio Archives page.

KUMD kicks off the Women’s History Month celebration Monday, March 3 at 7 pm with a two-hour NPR special "The Hidden World of Girls," featuring actress Tina Fey as the host. Fey takes listeners around the world into the secret life of girls with stories of women who crossed a line, broke a trail, and changed the tide -- from the dunes of the Sahara to a slumber party in Manhattan, from the dancehalls of Jamaica to a racetrack in Ramallah.
