College of Liberal Arts Associate Dean Has Been Named
Olaf Kuhlke
Dr. Olaf Kuhlke, UMD department head of geography and recent interim dean for the College of Liberal Arts (CLA), has been named as the CLA Associate Dean.
Olaf began his duties on July 1 and he brings considerable experience as department head and interim dean. A strong advocate of the UMD mission in the liberal arts, Olaf plays a key role in strategic planning, development, and diversity initiatives. He is also well versed in student affairs, academic curriculum, and the college and university committee structure. This balance of experience and vision will serve him well in his new position.
