UMD To Present Lecture on
"Feminism, Privilege and the Politics of Accountability"
March 29

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) will present a lecture on the topic "Feminism, Privilege and the Politics of Accountability", by professor and activist Ann Russo, March 29 at 7 p.m. in the UMD Chemistry Building, Room 200.

The event is free and the public is cordially invited. A reception will follow the lecture.

Ann Russo is an associate professor and program director of Women's and Gender Studies at DePaul University, Chicago. She serves as head of the anti-white supremacy task force for the National Women's Studies Association (NWSA). She is the author of many books on the politics of feminism and racism. Professor Russo also works with poor women and women of color in Chicago.

The presentation is part of the UMD Women's History Month celebration.

The event is co-sponsored by the UMD Department of Women's Studies, Women's Resource and Action Center, Commission on Women, College of Liberal Arts, College of Science and Engineering, College of Education and Human Service Professions, and Multicultural Center.
