Everyone Is Invited to the UMD Booth at the Minnesota State Fair
August 27--August 31
UMD Is On-Stage August 31 with Special Acts and Demonstrations


UMD will have its own exciting new presence at the Minnesota State Fair this year- showcasing UMD for five days, Saturday, August 27 to Wednesday, August 31.

The colorful UMD booth will be stationed in the Crossroads Building (also the University of Minnesota Building) located on Dan Patch Avenue just three block from the Snelling Avenue State Fair entrance.

All UMD alumni and friends are invited to stop by the UMD booth to chat, learn about interesting new programs and initiatives, and hear about all the latest happenings on campus. Booth hours are 9 a.m. to approximately 9 p.m. And each evening from 4 p.m. to 8 or 9 pm, a special UMD program will take over as booth host.
Saturday........Master of Advocacy and Political Leadership;
Sunday .........University of Minnesota Medical School Duluth;
Monday..........Master's of Arts - Criminology;
Tuesday.........Study in England and the International Education Office
Wednesday.......UMD Disability Services.

In addition, special guests will be at the booth during the day.
The American Indian Learning Resource Center and the UMD Bookstore will host on Saturday, Aug 27, and the Natural Resources Research Institute (NRRI) will host on Monday, Aug 29 from 9am - 4 pm.

On August 31 UMD has the stage for "UMD at the State Fair Day". UMD will take the stage (just outside the building) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. presenting special acts, programs and demonstrations. It's all free and the public is cordially invited.

Also on August 31, a UMD Alumni Reception for alumni, family and friends
is set for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the RAPTOR CENTER, 1920 Fitch Ave.
(next to the fairgrounds on the west side)
Everyone is invited for refreshments, socializing, tours, and viewing live raptors.
$10/adult, $5/children (ages 5-10), under 5 years are free.
