UMD Presents Community Service Award
to Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) has presented the Spring 2003 UMD Kirby Student Center Community Service Award to Alpha Phi Omega, a UMD service fraternity. Alpha Phi Omega students received this award for their service to Brookston Home, operated by Resident Services Incorporated (RSI). The fraternity completed a project creating a mile-long pathway, ten feet wide, through heavily forested property, to enable residents of Brookston Home to go hiking and horseback riding.

The UMD Kirby Student Center Community Service Award was created to publicly acknowledge the impact student organizations make at UMD and in the Duluth community.

Alpha Phi Omega president is UMD student Nate Kuehl.
