UMD Chemical Engineering Program Ranked 3rd of
"Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs"
by U.S. News and World Report 2004 Edition of
"America's Best Colleges"

The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) was ranked 8th among the Midwest Public Universities with Master's programs in the 2004 edition of "America's Best Colleges" published by U.S. News and World Report magazine.

Each year U.S. News and World Report ranks over 1,400 colleges from across the nation. The magazine uses categories such as peer assessment, retention, faculty and financial resources, and graduation rate to calculate the school's overall rating.

On the list of the "Best Undergraduate Engineering Specialty Programs," (public university or college,) UMD's Chemical Engineering Program was ranked 3rd. UMD was ranked 33rd on the list of the "Best Undergraduate Engineering Programs," (public university or college).

UMD was also included on the list of the "Best Undergraduate Business Programs," (public university or college,) ranking 133rd.
