UMD ANNOUNCES 2002-2003
STUDY IN ENGLAND PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS

Forty-four students are participating in the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) Study in England Program for the 2002-2003 school year. The program offers UMD students an opportunity to enrich their college experience by spending an academic year-abroad.

Students attend the University of Birmingham-Selly Oak Campus, located 110 miles northwest of London. UMD mathematics professor Sabra Anderson, is program director. Along with their classes students will take field trips that will supplement their classes and increase their knowledge of British history and culture.

Program participants must be current UMD students or students from other universities who are admissible to UMD. All students must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.4 at time of application and also have at least 24 credits by the end of spring semester 2002. While in England students must maintain a 2.4 grade point average.

UMD faculty members form the core instructional staff for the program. UMD course offerings are complemented by British faculty members. All courses are offered for University of Minnesota credit.

UMD Study in England Program participants may take advantage of weekends and term breaks for travel to cities and historical sites within the British Isles and Europe.
