UMD Professor Celebrates 25 Years of Collaboration with Russian Scientist
Lecture and Dinner Set for April 10
Public is Invited
A "Champagne Celebration" to honor a quarter century of collaboration between Ron Caple, UMD chemistry professor, and William A. Smit, Russian professor of the Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry and the Russian Academy of Science, in Moscow, will be held April 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel-Duluth.
Preceding the dinner, Professor Caple and Professor Smit will present a lecture about their research collaboration and discovery titled "Organic Synthesis: the Science Behind the Art." The presentation will be at 4 p.m. in the UMD Life Science Building, room185. The lecture is free and the public is invited. The dinner is $20.
