UMD Presents Chancellor's 2000
Outstanding Media Award
Winner is Radio Veteran Kerry Rodd
The UMD Chancellor's
2000 Outstanding Media Award was presented to Kerry Rodd at banquet ceremonies
held October 26 at UMD.
Mr. Rodd is a 17-year veteran with KDAL Radio. He is currently in his 13th year of broadcasting UMD Men's Hockey play-by-play. He has done scores of interviews and features about the Duluth community on his radio show the "Daily Express".
He is a past recipient of the Associated Press Play-by-play Award for
his work with UMD hockey. In 1990 he won the Minnesota Public Service Award
presented by the governor for his public service in media.
