Coptic

Coptic was the Christian form of Egyptian developed in the 3rd century.  Thus it has the longest tradition of written Christian Scriptures outside the original Hebrew and Greek.  Displayed is a facsimile of a papyrus manuscript of the Gospel of John, published in London in 1924.    #195
