Fenton, 1903

Ferrar Fenton was an unusual translator, in that he was an amateur linguist, and an enthusiastic supporter of the Church of England, which he saw as the epitome of Christianity. His translation of the whole Bible is hearty, enthusiastic, and frequently wrong, although thisdoes not show in the Good Samaritan story.
