Who may use Ask Us?

Ask Us! is intended for use by UMD students, faculty, staff, distance ed students, Northeast MN residents, and those requesting information unique to UMD. You may also wish to consult our Research Guides, Course Guides, and Privacy Statement. All chat sessions are recorded and saved for one month. We will make every effort to protect your privacy, so any information you provide will remain confidential. Chat sessions are fully encrypted to and from the librarian during normal hours, but after hours, AskMN is not encrypted at this time. If you need technical help, perhaps your question is addressed here.

Between our IM Chat and AskMN services, we now offer 24/7 online library reference help.
