Description
Blogger is a Google App that enables individuals to easily create a blog, or a web log. Blogs can be used for many purposes, and if you are not familiar with them, you might want to read the Wikipedia entry on blogs. Linda Deneen will talk about her experience in using Blogger to write her blog on Technology and Leadership. Mandie Johnson will add her expertise in on platform comparisons and other issues she has seen in using Blogger. We will leave plenty of time for questions.

Hangouts
Description
Google Hangouts are a new way to conduct online meetings or simply connect with others. Using your computer or a smartphone, you can video chat, share your screen, work on documents in your Google Drive and more. Similar to Skype, UMD Google Hangouts can accommodate up to 15 video conference participants at a time. An "On Air" feature allows you to stream your Hangout live to the Internet and will automatically save your broadcast to YouTube. If you're interested in learning more about using Google's virtual conference tool, please join Mandie Johnson and Trish Crace for tips and tricks on making your Hangouts a smashing success.
