Start Up and Operation
Unlock and pull out the tray for the Vadio Production Station.
Press the power button on the Vadio Production Station Display.
The screen should awaken.
Press the Master Power button on the Vadio Production Station for one
The button should light up.
Go to the instructor station, unlock both cabinet doors, remove the wireless keyboard from its recharging dock, detach the wireless mouse from its charger, and get the lavaliere microphone out.
Ensure that the desktop computer monitor is turned on (blue light in upper left hand corner of monitor), else turn the monitor on by pushing the button on the back of the monitor (located along the top of the monitor in the middle). Awaken the PC by hitting the space bar on the keyboard.
By now, the Vadio system should be "awake." Choose your camera view by selecting the camera (1, 2 or 3) under "preview" and then the "thumb view" you would like to see. Once you have the view you want in the preview (left-hand) window, then simply touch it to transmit it to Program (Live) view. You will now see it in the Program (right-hand) window.
Now touch the Room Touch Panel (there is a duplicate touch panel at the Vadio Production Station) and select your Source, typically Room PC to start with Press and hold "Transmit Instructor"™s View" for 1 second. The screens at the Student Tables should light up. If this does not happen, wait another minute for the Vadio system to awaken and again select your Source. You can now switch between sources as needed

Source - Tables: Students may plug in their devices at each table (3 per table). In order to display their content, they will need to press the "Table" button on their pod"™s keypad. If the instructor wishes to display content being shown from an individual table, choose "Table" for source and then select that table according to the room map being displayed. Just hit your original source to get back to your source content.

(For ITV courses only): Press the ITV Mode button on the control panel. On the ITV Controls screen, press "YES" when asked if you want to turn ITV on. This will allow the ITV unit in the room to answer when the Twin Cities calls in.

To Initiate ITV Calls: If you know the IP address or E.164 you may use the keypad to place the call. You may also touch the "Directory" button, a directory will appear on the left 32" Instructor display and you can select a folder then a codec from the list using the directional arrows on the touch panel and pressing the center to select. Once selected, simply touch "Connect" and your call will be placed.

To change presentation sources in an ITV call: Simply touch the "Presentation Sources" button and select your source from the subsequent screen as shown below as you would in a typical Active Learning class, demonstrated in Step 6 above.

Each table unit can depress their respective microphone, and upon doing so their microphone will not only become live, but one of the three table cameras will turn on and focus on them. They will need to depress their microphone again in order to turn it off and allow others to speak.
If students forget to turn off microphones and you wish to resume control, displaying your presentation source, you can depress and hold the "Student Camera Override" button for 1 sec. This will lock out all table cameras. To allow student camera interaction again, just press it again.

Shut Down Step 1
On any of the main screens, select the "Shutdown Menu" in the lower right-hand corner of each screen.
If you are in Active Learning mode: Select "Yes" beneath "Shutdown Everything?" All screens in the room should go dark.

If you are in ITV mode: To exit ITV mode, simply select "Yes" under "Exit ITV mode and return to Presentation mode?" To shut down everything, simply select "Yes" under "Shutdown Everything?"

Shut Down Step 2
Replace the wireless keyboard in the docking station (ensuring that the keyboard is seated correctly in its dock to be recharging), reconnect the wireless mouse to its charger, and ensure that the lapel microphone is turned off and place it back in the cabinet, and the battery is not dead. If so, just replace with a new 9 volt supplied in the cabinet. Lock the cabinet doors. Turn off the desktop computer monitor.
Shut Down Step 3
Go to the Vadio Production Station and press the Master Power button for 1 second. The button should go dark. Press the power button on the Vadio Production Station Display. The button should go dark.
Shut Down Step 4
Ensure that the two doors the room are closed, latched and not blocked open.
