The University Campus Police provides security service for the campus. University police officers are fully licensed peace officers comparable to city police officers.
Resident Advisors (RA's) are student staff members who live in the apartments. They are on nightly duty seven days a week. RA's assist summer residents with information about UMD, Duluth, summer programs, etc. RA's also complete an apartment inventory with each renter.
A staff person is specially assigned to coordinate the summer programming events that take place.
