Directions to UMD
UMD from Southern Minnesota via I-35 – avoiding Duluth Megaproject construction
- Travel north on I-35 toward Duluth.
- At Exit 246, leave I-35 and and turn north (left) onto Midway Road.
- Travel 8 miles north on Midway Road to Arrowhead Road. Turn east (right ) onto Arrowhead Road.
- Travel 8.5 miles east on Arrowhead Road to Kenwood Avenue. Turn south (right) onto Kenwood Avenue
- Travel 1 mile south on Kenwood Avenue to Junction Avenue. Turn north (left) onto Junction Avenue
- Travel 0.5 mile north on Junction Avenue to Niagara Court. Turn east (right) onto Niagara Court, and follow the signs to the Lake Superior Hall check-in area.
UMD from Wisconsin via Superior, WI
- Travel north on US-53 from Wisconsin into Minnesota
- Turn north (right) onto I-35/MN-61. Travel 3.5 miles to Exit 258.
- At Exit 258, leave I-35 at 21st Avenue East.
- Travel 1 mile northeast (uphill) on 21st Avenue East to Woodland Avenue.
- Turn north (right) onto Woodland Avenue. Travel 0.5 mile to College Street.
- Turn west (left) onto College Street. Travel 0.5 mile west to Junction Avenue.
- Turn north (right) onto Junction Avenue. Travel 0.5 mile north on Junction Avenue to Niagara Court.
- Turn east (right) onto Niagara Court, and follow the signs to the Lake Superior Hall check-in area.
UMD from Northern Minnesota
- Travel south on MN-61 toward Duluth.
- Exit onto East Superior Street. Travel 0.75 mile on East Superior Street to 60th Avenue East.
- Turn north (right) onto 60th Avenue East. Travel 2 blocks to Glenwood Street.
- Turn west (left) onto Glenwood Street. Travel 2.5 miles to Snively Road.
- Turn south (left) onto Snively Road. Travel 1 mile to Woodland Avenue.
- Turn south (left) onto Woodland Avenue. Travel 0.5 mile to St. Marie Street.
- Turn west (right) onto St. Marie Street. Travel 1 mile to Niagara Court (St. Marie Street becomes Junction Avenue before reaching Niagara Court).
- Turn east (left) onto Niagara Court, and follow the signs to the Lake Superior Hall check-in area.
