Housing application-contracts are available on-line to admitted incoming students who have scheduled an advisement/registration date. Go above to "Application Process" then "New Student". Students who return a housing application-contract postmarked on or before May 1, 2012 will be reserved and assigned a space in University housing based on the date of application for admission to UMD and the availability of space. Some first year students may be assigned to on-campus apartments or temporary rooms.

Students who return housing application-contracts after May 1, 2012 will be reserved and assigned space based on the date the housing application-contract is received by the Housing Office and the availability of space. The University cannot guarantee University housing for students who submit housing application-contracs after May 1, 2012.

UMD Dining Center

The meals from the Dining Center are included in the UMD housing contract for students living in the residence halls. Apartment and off-campus residents who wish to eat meals in the Dining Center, may purchase Dining Dollars. Apartment residents may also purchase a lunch only Monday - Friday meal plan. Information regarding Dining Dollars or the current menu may be viewed here.

When entering the dining center, your student ID is scanned for admittance to insure that if you ID card is ever lost or stolen, others will not be able to use it.

There is a wide variety of items to choose from including hot entrees, salad bar, dessert bar, sandwich bar, potato & pasta bar for lunch, along with numerous beverage choices. And as always, it's all you can eat. However, you are not permitted to bring food outside of the dining center.

The dining center is also a great environment to enjoy meals as well as socialization with friends.
