Summer Housing for UMD Students & UMD Workshop Attendees

UMD Students

Who Qualifies?

  • UMD students are students enrolled at the University of Minnesota the previous spring, current summer or upcoming fall semester.
  • Housing is available during May Session & Summer Session couses for UMD students.
  • Current UMD Housing residents may stay in campus housing as Extended Summer Renters.

Rental Payments

  • Prices are per unit. Rates will be split amongst roommates.
  • Summer rent is charged to the student's account.
  • Additional nights are prorated after the minimum stay is met for Extended Summer and General Summer rentals.
  • Rental for May Session and Fall Interim cannot be prorated.

Meal Plans

  • Summer meal plans are not available.

Access to the Summer Housing Application are now available via the Housing Portal.

Summer 2017: Important Dates for UM Students
Monday, March 13: Housing Applications will be available via the Housing Portal.
Friday, April 21 at 4 PM: Deadline for Extended Summer Housing and May Session reservations.
Friday May 19 at 4 PM: Deadline for General Summer Housing reservations with arrival date of June 5.
Other General Summer Housing reservations must be made at least seven weekdays prior to arrival.
Friday, July 21 at 4 PM:Deadline for Fall Interim reservations.

 

UMD Workshop Attendees

Offering or taking a short-term class or workshop on the UMD campus? Individual workshop attendees can rent a campus residence hall room for a single night or up to three weeks. Workshop coordinators and attendees can contact the Summer Housing Office for more information.
