Allergy Injections

Allergy Injections

Many students need regular injections for allergies. While UMD Health Services does not conduct allergy testing, we will store, without liability, a student's current vial of allergy serum and administer the injections. Students must provide their allergist's written orders along with the serum. The orders should include:

  1. The dosage schedule and date of last injection
  2. Identification information such as the patient's name and date of birth
  3. The allergist's name, address, phone number and fax number
  4. A copy of the allergy clinic's general guidelines for administration

Health Services provides allergy injections only on Mondays and Thursdays, between 8am-4pm (9am-3pm during the summer), and requires a 30 minute wait-time following all allergy injections. The charge for this service is $10 for the first injection and $5 for each additional injection.
