Health Services provides quality medical, counseling, and health education services for students of the UMD campus community. The goal of our professional and dedicated staff is to help students develop healthy personal lifestyles and to provide the services necessary to ensure academic success.

Who can be seen at Health Services
All students are eligible to use Health Services. The student service fee covers office visits for students taking six or more credits. Some services such as x-rays, lab tests, minor surgery, some special procedures, and medications are chargeable. Students taking less than six credits are eligible to use Health Services by paying a one-time-per-term Health Services fee, paid directly to Health Services, which covers office visits. Other chargeable services listed above. Many insurance plans may be billed for these services.
Non-UMD Students (college students from the College of St. Scholastica, University of Wisconsin - Superior, Duluth Business University, Lake Superior College, the University of Minnesota, etc.) are eligible to use Health Services, however, charges apply for services rendered by any provider. Chargeable services include office visits, x-rays, lab tests, minor surgery, some special procedures, and medications. Non-UMD students can have their charges billed to insurance.
What to bring to your appointment
Students are required to bring and present their student identification card and health insurance card. If you are a new patient, please also bring these completed forms to your first appointment.
Students with appointments must check in at least 5-10 minutes prior to their appointment. New patients are required to check in 15-20 minutes ahead of their appointment time. Students who arrive 10 minutes late for their scheduled appointment will be asked to reschedule.
Both metered and designated parking spots are available directly in front of the Health Services' main entrance. If you park in a "designated" spot, please report to the reception desk and request a parking pass. Vehicles without passes will be ticketed. (Health Services Location/Map)
