To avoid graduation delays, students should know the requirements for degree progress and completion in this handbook and that of their individual degree programs.

2018-2019 Graduate Student Handbook

The Graduate Student Handbook is intended to provide general information on graduate education policies and procedures at the University of Minnesota Duluth. Students are expected to be familiar with the policies and procedures set out by the Graduate School and their individual degree programs. Students should read this handbook, and the one provided by their graduate programs early in their graduate career, and refer back to them often. The UMD Graduate School Office or program directors or coordinators may be consulted with any questions.

The handbook is a supplement to information contained in the University of Minnesota Duluth Catalog, The University of Minnesota Graduate School Catalog, the University of Minnesota Graduate Assistant Employment Office website, and the University Policy Library. Information in the Graduate Student Handbook is subject to change without notice.
