Energy Saving and Security

Fluctuating fuel prices and an increase in thefts on campus are two areas where everyone doing a little can accomplish a lot.

Close all windows and lock all doors securely when leaving offices and classrooms to insure increased security and prevent major disasters from occuring when pipes freeze and burst in cold weather.
Turn off lights when leaving offices and classrooms.
Turn thermostats to 65 degrees at the end of the day and especially on weekends.
Consult with Facilities Management personnel reguarding energy saving measures and security systems.
