Upcoming Foreign Languages & Literatures Film and Speaker Series: Equity, Diversity, & Social Justice

As a result of departmental endeavors to promote UMD's Strategic Plan Goal #2, the Department of Foreign Languages & Literatures has been awarded an Integrated Learning Grant to bring you the Equity, Diversity, and Social Justice Film and Speaker Series, to take place in Spring 2013 and Fall 2013, with the possibility of extending through Spring 2014. This film and speaker series will consist of several events--some film events, some speaker events, and some that have both a film and speaker--throughout the course of the multi-semester series. The department will bring experts from all over the world to Duluth to speak to UMD students and the greater Duluth community on the title topics. Pertinent films that address these themes will be shown and discussed from different cultural perspectives, with discussions led by UMD FLL faculty.
