Wellbeing Program

The University of Minnesota Wellness Program is now called the University of Minnesota Wellbeing Program to better reflect the University’s goal to support your physical, emotional, financial, and social health.

The new program year will kick-off on October 1, 2017 and will run through August 31, 2018. It will be supported by a new vendor, RedBrick Health, which is replacing Staywell.

The University’s Wellbeing Program has all the programs you have enjoyed in the past plus some new additions.

The Wellbeing Program is available to all University employees and their spouses covered by the UPlan Medical Program.

The NEW Wellbeing Program helps you:

  • Save more money on your annual UPlan rates in 2019

  • Try new offerings to support your overall wellbeing
  • Gain rewards  for activities you already do to stay healthy

  • Gives you a partial reimbursement for programs that have fee
  • Learn more about the new changes

How it works

When you complete Wellbeing Program activities, you earn wellbeing points. The number of points you need to earn depends on who is covered under your plan:

Employee-only UPlan Coverage:  You need to earn at least 500 points to save $500 in 2019

Employee & Children UPlan Coverage:  You need to earn at least 500 points to save $500 in 2019

Employee & Spouse with or without Children:  You need to earn at least 750 points (your spouse can earn up to 250 of these points) to save $750 in 2019

**Note:  The UPlan rate reduction you get through the Wellbeing Program will reflect in your 2019 paychecks over 26 pay periods.
