RSVP to Commencement

Applying to graduate DOES NOT automatically RSVP you to participate in commencement.

In addition to applying, you must also complete the Commencement Questionnaire where you will RSVP and confirm you will be in attendance, tell us how to pronounce your name and tell us if YOU need special assistance.

If you missed the deadline to RSVP to Commencement and you are an undergraduate student, contact; if you are a graduate student contact

This year for commencement, UMD is using a new option called NameCoach.  This system allows you to record your name to help ensure our commencement name readers, Dr. Erwin and Dr. Smyth, have an opportunity to listen to you say your name and help them pronounce it correctly on commencement day.  Students who have sent in their RSVP to attend commencement will be receiving an email with an invitation and link to record their name.  If you have not received an email please contact us at
