If the alleged assailant or perpetrator is another student, the Student Conduct Officer will investigate to determine whether there has been a violation of the University of Minnesota Board of Regents Student Conduct Code. The University’s Student Conduct Process will be conducted as expediently as possible. As the victim, you will be advised of the outcome and any sanctions imposed.
If the alleged assailant or perpetrator is an employee of the University, you will be connected with staff in the Office of Equal Opportunity. An investigation will proceed according to OEO procedures (link here). After all appeals have been exhausted, the victim will be advised of the outcome of the investigation.
If the alleged assailant is someone not affiliated with the University, an investigation will be conducted by University Police.
