About Danielle

My name is Danielle Catanzarite.  I graduated with a bachelors in science degree from the University of Wisconsin Superior.  I majored in Elementary Education and minored in Early Childhood Education. I recently earned my Parent and Family Education license at the University of Minnesota Duluth.  Hard work, perseverance, and a positive outlook on early childhood learning have brought me to the UMD Children’s Place.

A little information about me-

I am a mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, and teacher.  I have lived in or around Duluth my whole life. (I love the state of Minnesota and never plan on leaving.)  I seem to have been born with an excess of patience, which helps in my line of work.  I also happen to believe that I have the best job.  I am excited to be able to take part in our Infants learning experiences.  It is an amazing occurrence to witness new discoveries and skill development through our experiences in the classroom.

I believe that children need to be offered open-ended activities and a positive environment in which to participate.  Diversity in activities, media, peers, and classroom items make our infant room an interesting place to be.
