- EDUC 7001, change title to Introduction to Graduate Study. More emphasis on writing and nline learning; less on technology. APPROVED.
- SpEd 5109, Working with Challenging Behavior in Young Children, 3 credits. Will be taught concurrently with SpEd 3109. APPROVED.
- Educ 7032, Instructional Materials Design for Indigenous Language Revitalization, proposed as 3-4 credits. Council recommended that the option for an additional curriculum project be removed and the course be for 3 credits only. Couse APPROVED pending confirmation of non-variable credit, and that outcomes and assessments be re-written (feedback to the sponsor through Helen).
- OjEd 5120, Ojibwe Language Grammatical Pedagogy, 2 credits. APPROVED.
Review of (1) data elements currently being tracked on all M.Ed. applicants/admits; and (GPA on admission/exit and completion rates. The data will be updated and reviewed again in fall. In addition, the Council asked for information on type of final projects being completed.
The last meeting for 2006-2007 is 3-5 pm May 1; the cohort and EE programs will report.
