Academic Affairs Council

November 16, 2001

Present: Faith Loven, Melanie Shephard, Ken Gilbertson, Dan Glisczinski, Jackie Millslagle.

Absent: Bob Lloyd

A motion was made and seconded to approve the curriculum process as proposed jointly with Graduate Program Council. Motion CARRIED. In light of history of curriculum work in CEHSP, AAC recommends that our minutes be an information agenda item for Graduate Program Council. AAC will recommend to the Senate Executive Committee, for its discussion of revision of the Constitution, that the function/role of this council include:

  1. Consideration of all undergraduate academic policy related issues, including curriculum.
  2. Council members will be responsible for getting input from constituencies on agenda items.
  3. As AAC will deal with undergraduate issues/curriculum, and as there is not an undergraduate program in the Department of Social Work, a representative from that department will attend meetings to provide input on issues that effect department offerings only.

The committee agreed that agendas and minutes of all AAC meetings should be published for access by all CEHSP faculty and staff.

Dr. Jackie Millslagle, Recorder
