AAUW (American Association of University Women) Smart Start Workshop

November 28, 2018; Kirby Student Center 268; 3-4pm

Start Smart is specifically designed to teach you how to negotiate salaries for a new job.

In this workshop students will gain confidence in your negotiation style through facilitated discussion and role-play and learn how to identify and articulate your personal value, how to develop an arsenal of persuasive responses and other strategies to use when negotiation, learn how to conduct objective market research to benchmark a target salary and benefits and finally you will get to acquire knowledge on the existing pay gap, including its long-term consequences on their careers.

Dress for Success

Don’t know what to wear for that interview? Not really sure what Business Casual means? We’ll help you out. Join us for this fun event to learn more about dressing professionally, on a college student budget. This event will showcase appropriate professional wear for Men and Women.
