A recruiter is an individual who works to fill job or internship openings in businesses or organizations. Look for the following opportunities to connect with recruiters:
Check in GoldPASS for upcoming on-campus interviews, practice interviews, employer info sessions and other employer-sponsored events.
Each semester, various employers come to campus to interview for positions. Check in GoldPASS for upcoming interviews. You must sign up for these interviews ahead of time. If you do not already have your resume uploaded to GoldPASS, allow enough time to update your profile, upload your resume, and have it approved.
Employers may also interview on campus in conjunction with job fairs. Usually, employers will select candidates to interview at the fair rather than in GoldPASS.
There may be additional interviewing opportunities available to you on other U of M campuses; these would also be listed in GoldPASS under Interview on Campus.

The Practice Interview will help you to learn what is expected in a real interview, and how you can improve the way you present yourself. They may be held by company representatives, alumni, human resources professionals, or Career and Internship Services staff. There are several ways you can practice and perfect your interviewing skills:
- Use InterviewStream to practice on your own
- Make an appointment with a career counselor to do a practice interview with you
- Sign up for practice interviews, offered periodically, listed in GoldPASS under Interview on Campus.
Employer Information Sessions
Employer-sponsored presentation and reception to help you learn more about the organization and meet company representatives in a less formal situation than an interview. May be held on or off-campus. Listed in GoldPASS under Career Fairs/Events, search Category: Information Sessions.
Employer Career Fair
Employer-sponsored event to promote specific positions within one company, usually held at the company's offices. The employer may be taking resumes, applications, and/or interviewing at the event. Be sure to review the event posting for specific requirements. Listed in GoldPASS under Career Fairs/Events with no search criteria as the Category may vary.
