The Annual Program Assessment Process
The typical process for conducting assessment for one year involves planning, collecting data, analyzing data, interpreting results, and using the information to inform program development. Assessment reports submitted once the year has ended document the assessment process, results, and interpretations with recommendations for potential improvement. During the following year, the program completes the Closing-the-Loop Update to provide the status of any changes recommended.
Once the annual program SLO assessment process is completed, the program is expected to demonstrate progress toward implementing decisions made for teaching and learning improvements. Progress is reported through annual program development updates until the next time the SLO is reported to close the loop.
