CASE Alumni Engagement Summit

Who: Alumni Relations Officers

What: UMD was the recipient of a 2017 CASE District V Venture Fund Grant. The grant provides funding for professional development on campuses located within the District V region. The Alumni Engagement Summit will provide networking and the opportunity for alumni relations professionals from schools outside large metro areas in the Upper Midwest to learn and grow. At the Alumni Engagement Summit we will explore two methods for addressing our alumni relations challenges: 1) how to bring compelling programming to alumni who live far from campus, and 2) how to design programming that brings alumni back to campus. The topics will be explored through speaker panels and roundtable discussions.

When: Thursday, July 12, 2018

Where: Kirby Student Center at the University of Minnesota Duluth

Why: The goal of this summit is for all participants to leave with new ideas to bring back to their institutions as well as new contacts to help build their professional network. All participants will receive materials with information that was shared at the summit: samples from other schools, notes from the summit sessions, and a directory of participants.

Workshop Theme: How can we, alumni relations officers, create quality engagement opportunities on a limited budget for alumni who live a significant distance from campus?
