Registration Queue Stages & Dates

Registration
Fall Semester 2012

UMD uses 10 stages in the registration queue with each stage representing a credit range. Students are assigned to a stage based on the number of cumulative credits (completed and in-progress credits for the current term) or by student type (e.g. Continuing Education students are always on the last day of the registration period.) Within each stage, students are ordered alphabetically by last name, with a different 'start' letter used each term.

Registration times will be adjusted only if students have transfer credits not evaluated at the time the registration times were calculated. Students must supply an official transcript to the Admissions Office, 25 Solon Campus Center, to show proof of transferable credits. Once credits have been evaluated, students will be given an evaluation summary by admissions staff to take over to One Stop Student Services, 23 Solon Campus Center, for registration time adjustment.

Graduate, Medical School, College of Pharmacy students, and students with 99 or more total credits

Stage 3

Students with 90 – 98.9 total credits
Begins Thursday, April 12, 2012 1:30 p.m.
Ends Thursday, April 12, 2012 4:00 p.m.

Stage 4

Students with 75 – 89.9 total credits
Begins Friday, April 13, 2012 8:00 a.m.
Ends Friday, April 13, 2012 3:00 p.m.

Stage 5

Students with 60 – 74.9 total credits
Begins Friday, April 13, 2012 3:30 p.m.
Ends Monday, April 16, 2012 12:30 p.m.

Stage 6

Students with 45 – 59.9 total credits
Begins Monday, April 16, 2012 1:00 p.m.
Ends Tuesday, April 17, 2012 1:30 p.m.

Stage 7

Students with 30 – 44.9 total credits
